Do you feel in Control?
As you know, (and if you don’t, do head over to our Facebook Community!) I have all sorts of methods, tricks, practices that I use to keep me grounded, happy, soulful and kind to myself but just recently it’s been a weird one and I really feel as though my brain has gone on hoiday!
I’m being a complete scatterbrain.
I’m a fairly organised (ish) person but at the moment it seems that my usual routines are in cahoots with chaos and I’m being a complete scatterbrain.
It’s strange how in one moment I can be so ridiculously on top of some things yet in the next, my brain has decided to go on holiday!
Let me fill you in…
All the kids school events & those I need to attend are in the diary – Check.
Gifts are mostly bought and wrapped, just a couple to finish off – check.
Masterclasses scheduled in advance – check.
House fairly tidy and all that goes with it fairly up to date – check
Nice things for my “me-time” happening in-between the everyday – check (I even had a ride on a carousel with a dear friend – soooo much fun!)
New book launched – check.
All sounding good so far… however…
Things start to go a bit wobbly from here…
Launch Live had a tech issue that people couldn’t see me…
Draw for my new book scheduled for the 18th – Oops, I went live and did the draw whole week early…
Schedule conflict so I ask hubby to work from home to do school pickup and tell him completely the wrong day and week…
Our Hamster passed away and we didn’t realise until late the next day (they sleep a lot in the daytime!)
Forgot to move the bloody elf…
I swear we have a secret family living with us with the amount of washing – or is that just having a pre-teen in the house?
I’m sleeping but very restless.
My desk is so covered in post-it notes it looks like I’ve sprinkled confetti!
I think you get the gist of what has been happening!
I simply feel like my brain has said, ta-ta lovely, I’m off to the sun for a couple of weeks!
Now, this could be a few things.
- My age – full on peri-menopause
- The Solar Flares
- I’m simply doing too much
- I’m not as organised as I like to think I am (we can all tell ourselves what we want to hear, hey)
- Mercury Retrograde
- I haven’t been taking my own advice and my journalling and meditation have slipped recently
- End of term-itis
- A possible health scare – I’m 99.9% certain I’m ok but it does freak you out a bit
Whatever it is, I shall be sure to be kind to myself, remind myself that I am enough, I am capable, it will pass, I’ll be back to me again in no time, and that the world won’t stop turning just because I forget to get something for dinner tomorrow night – yep, forgot that too – time for a “cupboard surprise”!
Does this feel like you? Will you be kind to yourself?
Would you like to know a few steps you could take to find your path again?
Here’s how:
